These gloves are super warm for cold waters. Want to keep swimming when the water dips below 10 degrees? Then choose the swim socks and gloves from Swim Hunky & Swim Chicky. With 5MM Neoprene these gloves are extra thick. They are also extra long so that they also remain under the wetsuit.
1) With 3MM Neoprene glued keeps your hands warm in water above 10 degrees celcius
2) With 5MM Neoprene pasted keeps your hands warm in water above 0 degrees celcius
With the Swim Chicky & Swim Hunky Swimming Socks and swimming gloves you can confidently enter the cold water. Then complete your outfit with a Neoprene swimming cap or a balaclava (2.5mm) in the color orange from the same brand. By the way, the swimming cap is slightly thinner because we recommend that you also simply wear a silicone swimming cap under your neoprene swimming cap. You are used to that and keep your earplugs and swimming goggles in place.
What is the difference with socks and gloves of 5mm or more?
You know that many people are looking for a solution at colder temperatures. If the water temperature drops below 10 degrees, 2/3mm socks and/or gloves may no longer be warm enough. You can then opt for a thicker neoprene or you can also wear 2 pairs of socks over each other. The thicker the neoprene, the stiffer. With 2 pairs of slightly thinner ones, you can put the socks on top of each other a little easier and that is preferable to thicker socks. Multiple socks on top of each other also feel less stiff in the water. However, this is not really possible with gloves. If 3MM becomes too cold, it is therefore a logical step to choose 4MM. Thick gloves are definitely recommended when in cold temperatures.
